Set up a Landi M20 (Viva Wallet)
The Landi M20 runs the Viva Wallet payment app. This guide sets one up so card
payments can be sent to it from the checkout.
The M20 is normally used as an external, customer-facing terminal: orders are
rung up on your till, and the M20 faces the customer to show the basket and take the
payment. It can also run standalone, where the order is placed and paid on the
M20 itself. If you have not decided, read Which terminal setup do you need? first
— this guide shows the external setup and points out where the standalone path
differs.
Before you start
- The M20 is switched on, connected to Wi-Fi, and the Viva Wallet app is installed and activated on it.
- Do this on the till you want to take payments from.
1. Open the payment terminals list
From the cashier home screen, open the menu at the top left and choose Payment terminals. The list shows
every terminal already known to this shop, with its provider, ID and model under the
name.
Tap New payment terminal. If the POS first shows Choose provider, tap
Viva Wallet, then tap Continue.

Check the list first. If the M20 in your hand is already listed, do not add it
again — switch its toggle on instead.
2. Choose the setup
The POS asks where the Viva Wallet app is installed. The M20 is a separate device
from your till, so the app is not on the device you are tapping on now.
Tap No, installed on another device, then tap Continue.

Standalone instead? If the M20 is the only device — the order is rung up on it
too - tap Yes, installed here. Everything that follows is the same, but the
customer never sees the basket, because the screen is the cashier's.
3. Choose the Landi M20
Tap Landi M20, then tap Continue.

The devices offered here are the ones set up for your shop with Viva Wallet. If the
device in your hand is not listed, do not force it through Other without
reading that guide first — Other skips the steps that configure the printer.
4. Decide whether to print on the terminal
The M20 has a built-in receipt printer. To have customer receipts come out of the
terminal, tap Yes, use built-in receipt printer. For receipts from a separate
printer at the counter, tap No.
Tap Continue.

5. Name the terminal
Give the terminal a name staff will recognise at checkout, such as Counter
terminal or Bar. With more than one terminal, the name is how the cashier picks
the right one when taking a payment.
Tap Continue. When it worked, the POS shows Payment terminal created
successfully! and takes you back to the terminal list.

6. Finish setup on the terminal
7. Check it works
- Ring up a test item on the till and choose Card.
- Confirm the amount appears on the M20.
- Complete the payment with a real card, then refund it from the order.
- Check the receipt printed where you expect it to.
A payment is only complete when the POS shows it as Settled. If it stops at any
other status, the customer may not have been charged.
Pairing the terminal to the till
Everything above happens on the till, and creates the terminal. It still has to be
told which shop and till it belongs to. That is done by activating it from the till
and scanning a QR code on the terminal.
1. Open the terminal and start activation
In Payment terminals, tap the terminal you just created, then tap
Activate payment terminal.

2. Install the app on the terminal
The till shows Install Loving Loyalty app. On the terminal, open the Play
Store, search for Loving Loyalty and tap Install. Open the app and tap
Activate payment terminal in its menu. Then tap Continue on the till.

3. Scan the QR code
The till shows a QR code. Point the terminal's camera at it. The two are then
paired, and the terminal knows which shop and till it belongs to. Tap Close on
the till when you are done.

The code in the picture is a placeholder. The real one is generated for your
terminal and is what pairs it, so do not photograph or share it.
If the terminal cannot scan
A terminal with no working camera can sign in instead. Its account is the terminal's
ID followed by @lovingloyalty.com, and its password is the passcode. Both are
shown against the terminal in the Payment terminals list on the till.

Enter the passcode.

The terminal then asks which role to use. Tap Payment Terminal. That is what makes it a payment
terminal rather than a till a cashier rings orders up on.

Choosing Cashier here turns the terminal into a second till instead of a
customer-facing terminal. If that happens, sign out and choose Payment Terminal.
4. The terminal is ready
However it was paired, the terminal settles on its resting screen: your shop's logo,
with Terminal id along the bottom. When a payment is sent from the till, it
appears here.

Check the printer prints
You do not need a sale to test the printer. Open the menu at the top left and choose Receipt
printers, tap the printer, then tap PRINT TEST RECEIPT.

The same screen tells you two more things worth knowing before the first busy
service. Last printed says whether this printer has ever produced anything — a
printer reading Never after a test print has not received it. The Kitchen
printer switch, when on, makes this printer print kitchen orders only.
If something goes wrong
| What you see | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| The terminal does not appear in the list after setup | Setup did not finish | Repeat from step 1, and check the Viva Wallet app is activated on the terminal |
| The terminal is signed in but shows nothing from the till | The two are not paired | Activate the terminal again from the till and re-scan the QR code |
| Payments never reach the terminal | The POS thinks this device is the terminal | Remove the terminal and redo step 2, answering No, installed on another device |
| Receipts print in the wrong place | The printer answer in step 4 | Remove and re-add the terminal, or change the printer in the terminal's settings |
